Butler Community College was the host for October’s Rose Hill Chamber Mixer at their Rose Hill location, located inside the Rose Hill High School. Twenty-five members and guests were in attendance and feasted on fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, pasta salad, and cookies.
Butler of Rose Hill is home to the Health Science Academy, which started there seven years ago. The program is now their biggest of five academies, with over 100 students currently enrolled. Christy Streeter, Associate Dean of HEP was host for the mixer, along with an appearance by President of Butler Community College Dr. Kimberly Krull, who spoke with various chamber members during the event.
Another drawing took place at the end of the evening to which State Farm Insurance was drawn the winner. Unfortunately, they weren’t at the mixer to receive their prize, so they will be getting a loser letter in the mail, and the prize money will go towards the next chamber mixer.
To kick off the next year, the next chamber mixer will be held at Lee Media Group in January.
