Bringing a Dream to the Rose Hill Community
Doug Helms is the man who followed his dream that started when he was just 12 years old. He started as a busboy and dishwasher at the age of 12 at Hanover Pancake House. He got a promotion to Line Cook at the age of 16.
Doug then joined the Army when he was 17 years old and served until he was 20 years old. He returned to Hanover Pancake House where he stayed until it closed its doors in 1983. Town & Country restaurant would become his next home. From 1983 to 1994, Doug learned all he could about the food industry until he went to the Aerospace industry.
Doug always held on to the idea of opening his own restaurant. In December of 2020 he contacted Covid-19, when he got better he started to talk to his wife, Crystal and their children about the possibility. Not Only did Doug want to serve great food, but he also wanted a family space. He wanted to help teach his grandchildren about working hard and following their dreams.
