New Business
We want to continue to focus on existing chamber members and make that our consistent theme moving forward.
Discussion to create awards for the annual chamber dinner was brought up. Decided to only focus on one award at the time and not to multiple awards this year. Board wants to do a member of the year and criteria will be as follows.
- Chamber Engagement – attend and promote chamber events and content (share, like, comment, invite).
- Community Involvement – attend and volunteer and promote community events ( RHFF, HTC, Various School or Church Events, NNO, Ect.)
- Must be current member in good standing
- Have hosted a chamber mixer in the past 24 months
- Chamber board will nominate and all members will get to vote on winner
Discussion was brought up to do print advertising. Many options were brought to the table but board voted to do 1/2 page add in the quarterly rec publication that gets sent to all houses in 67133 zip code. Ad will promote “support local businesses” with our logo, support local and a QR code leading to a landing page leading to our membership directory. Hoping Lee Media can track QR scans and how many times that page is being seen so we can track effectiveness to advertising dollars. We can do a yearly 1/2 page for $240, Gayle made a motion to approve and Kelsey second with all in favor. Gerald to email Mia to work on getting ad made for approval of board. Next print date is in November.
Discussion on polos was brought up. Mia had pricing around $22 per polo plus set up fees. Decision was made to not do polos at this time but get name tags for board members White with logo and name on them. Gayle made motion to budget $100 for board name tags to be worn at events, Kelsey second with all in favor. Natalie will look into pricing and get quotes.
We need mixers. Natalie spoke with Gregg at Velocity, they may be interested in hosting in October.
No open discussion and meeting was adjourned at 1:10pm.
