Chamber Mixer Guidelines

Chamber Mixer Hosts will be required to…

  • Provide drinks (alcohol optional) and food (light meal or snack food)
  • Provide a brief (5 to 10 minute) presentation/ talk about their business, promotions, and/or services
  • Help advertise the event by inviting fellow businesses and company staff and posting the event to their website, Facebook page, etc.

Mixers Will…

  • Preferably take place on a Thursday from 5:30 to 7:00 PM
  • Require attendees to provide $5 towards the event. $3 of that amount will go towards a drawing (all Chamber members’ names will be added to the drawing and if the winner is not in attendance then the money will be added to the drawing for the next mixer) and $2 of that amount will go towards the Annual Chamber Dinner.

Chamber Mixer Instructions

  • Everyone Must Pay $ 5 To Attend – A Chamber Board member will help with the registration table to ensure that everyone who attends pays the $5 donation for the Chamber. (You and your staff members do not have to pay to attend your mixer, although any outside guests that you invite will need to pay $5 to attend.)
  • Registration Table- Please provide a table near your entrance for guests to sign-in and pay their $5 to attend. A Chamber Board Member will sit at this table during your mixer.
  • Chamber Banner- The Chamber banner will be provided and placed by the registration table, which should be near the entrance.
  • Invitations- The Chamber will email invitations to your mixer to every Chamber Member. If you would like to mail invitations please contact Christina at czenner@cityofrosehill.com and she will get you a mailing list.
  • Promoting Your Mixer- Please email your company logo and mixer info to Lee Media Group at info@leemedia.com. Lee Media Group will email your event with your logo to all members prior to the mixer, and post it to the Chamber website and Facebook. You may also want to promote it on your website, Facebook page, etc. Please feel free to invite any guest from your company/organization as well as potential Chamber members.
  • Prize Drawing- Every Chamber Members’ name will be printed out and ready to be put into a drawing to win the Chamber Mixer money pot ( a Chamber Board member will bring the list of names). Please provide a bowl for the drawing. Members MUST be present to win. The winner will win the money pot comprised of proceeds (if any) from the last mixer, which is $3.00 from each person who paid to attend your mixer (the other $2 of the $5 amount from each person goes towards the Annual Chamber Dinner). If the winner is not present, then the name goes back in the bag and the money will be put into the drawing for the next mixer. Drawing is to be held towards the end of the mixer.
