Each year, on the second Monday of April, we celebrate Lineworkers Appreciation Day. A lineworker’s job is tough – it’s essential work that must be done and often in challenging conditions. The work can be heavy, and the hours can be long. When we started Velocity in 2018, it became apparent that the line crews would play a critical role in bridging the digital divide. They were skilled, familiar with our territory and ready to bring fast, reliable internet to our membership.
   Butler Electric Co-op and Velocity is the perfect mix of tradition and high-tech. Old and new. Past and present. We have been serving members since 1938 and are proud to offer another service that is no longer a luxury but a necessity. We are better together.
