National Night Out a Huge Success
National Night Out was a huge success! We had a great turnout (approximately 350 people), and we’ve heard nothing but rave reviews and excitement for next year. Local resident, Steve Huckaby, provided music and sound. Everyone loved the tunes.
Food was a big hit
Throughout the evening, we handed out 240 slices of pizza, 500 hot dogs, as well as sandwiches cookies, plenty of fixins, hundreds of Sno-cones, soda pop and water.
Kids activities
The Butler County Chaplains donated an inflatable jump house, which was a huge hit with the kids. They also got to climb in and activate emergency equipment including a fire truck, ambulance and police car. They even got to spray water from the fire hose into a burning house, check out the back of an ambulance and learn about medical equipment. McGruff the crime fighting dog appeared to shake hands with kids and pose for photos.
Prizes
Everyone with a ticket received a prize! Grand prizes included boys and girls bikes with helmets.
We want to say a huge thank you for all the donations and volunteers that made this event a success. We’re looking forward to next year already.
