2017 Annual Chamber Dinner

Posted

Over 50 members and guests attended this year’s annual Chamber dinner. Along with our chamber members, VIP guests in attendance included Representative of the 77th District Kristey Williams, Rose Hill Mayor Roger Perryn, Rose Hill City Council members Beth Pompa and Bill Baker, and introducing mayor-candidate Steve Huckaby. The Rose Hill Chamber of Commerce Scholarship winner, Alyssa Knaak, was also in attendance, winning $500 for college.

During the dinner, Project Grad 2018 presented their fundraising project, Rose-Hill-opoly, a board game representing Rose Hill and its local businesses. To sign up for your business to be featured, or to pre-order, visit their website.

Corbyn Jones, Marketing Assistant for the chamber, gave a presentation explaining the benefits of joining the chamber, along with a video he created for the new Featured Business of the Month. Corbyn’s primary focus is recruiting and retaining membership and encouraging chamber members to become a sponsor of the chamber website.

Guest speaker, Dr. Jeremy Crosby, a Rose Hill Resident, is a psychiatrist for those suffering from PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and has a local office in Wichita. During his presentation, he noted that PTSD doesn’t affect just veterans, but those who are first responders, and those suffering from an experience(s) that has traumatized them or from a mental illness.

Dr. Crosby can be reached at jpcrosby@gmail.com.
